Ever since I graduated from LSU with a B.A. in English literature, I have wanted to go back to school and get my masters. It always seemed like the natural thing for me to do. As the years went by, however, it became harder and harder to stop working and return to school. This was, of course, in the time before online degrees. Now, though, I have an opportunity to make my dream a reality.
I told myself for a while (when it seemed that I would never go back to school) that it didn't really matter if I got my masters or not. I knew that I was capable; I had no doubt that I could do the work and do it well. But I had to tell myself that it didn't matter if I had that piece of paper or not so that I would stop wanting it so very badly. Recently, however, I learned of an online school that I can enroll in. In just eighteen months, I can have my M.Ed.! And, what makes it even better, is that I'll be able to afford the program! Once I have this degree, I won't really make much more money, but I'll be able to apply for an assistant principal position...and someday principal!
